Sorbul apelor este în mitologia românească o entitate care adună toate apele ţării.
Înainte de bătălie, voinicii intrau călare în Dunăre(râul ce-aduce nori - DU-NOURI(geto-dacă) - aducător de nouri, DA-NUBES(latină)-purtător de nouri)şi beau un căuş de apă dimineaţa pentru a fi învingători.
Vărsat = revărsatul zorilor
Drumar = drumeţ
